Royal Rangers
Mountain View Outpost
Royal Rangers is a ministry that reaches across the United States and in over 65 nations around the world. It motivates boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. Boys are strengthened mentally by an advanced awards-based weekly program. Further, the boys increase their physical prowess by participation in age-specific activities and recreation. Finally, they are introduced to church, community, and nature-related activities to develop their social skills and awareness.
The objective of Royal Rangers is to REACH, TEACH, and KEEP boys for JESUS CHRIST.
Dedicated leaders, called commanders, provide boys the necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting. The meetings are designed to develop the total boy for Christ and offer love and understanding between the boy and godly role models.
Each outpost has separate age groups to allow boys to advance with their peers at an appropriate pace:
Ranger Kids
Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade boys.
This impressionable age group is foundational in providing the background and training for additional participation in the Royal Rangers program. Its challenging and fun advancement system encourages boys to learn utilizing indoor and outdoor activities and games. The weekly lessons and objectives help to reinforce godly principles in their daily lives. In this age group the boys have an opportunity to achieve many advancement pins that can be placed on an awards vest and worn each week as part of the official Royal Rangers uniform.
Discovery Rangers
Third, fourth, and fifth grade boys.
The Discovery Rangers program features an exciting Premier Advancement System. In this system boys will learn through camping and non-camping activities. An emphasis is placed on learning at their own pace in a merit-based curriculum.
Adventure Rangers
Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys.
Adventure Rangers participate in more challenging camping and outdoor activities while emphasizing skill development, advanced camping, Junior Leadership Training, Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF), Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals with national recognition. The weekly planning guides will encourage the boys to learn and stay on course for the Gold Medal of Achievement--the highest award a boy can earn.
Royal Rangers Events
Camping
Royal Rangers offers outpost and district events to fulfill the natural characteristic of boys for the outdoors. Camping is an effective way to accomplish the basic love that boys have for physical activity and adventure. Under properly trained leadership, camping can be used to help develop the boys into dedicated Christian men.
Campcraft is a progressive method by which boys and their leaders learn to take care of themselves and others safely, healthfully, and comfortably in the outdoors.
Pinewood Derby
The Pinewood Derby is another activity for Ranger and father to participate in. This activity is enjoyed by the entire family when we host the MVCA outpost Pinewood Derby race.
Craft Projects
Tool boxes, bird houses, more.
The Royal Ranger ministry at MVCA is dedicated to the boys and commanders alike. Why not contact our Sr. Royal Rangers Commander for further information as soon as possible.
