The Purpose of Children's Ministries

"Building Little People With an Eternal Purpose"

We must keep in focus that we are teaching the "YOUTH OF THE WORLD." Statistics say that 85% of people will receive Jesus as Savior between the ages 4 and 14. Our chances after 14 diminishes to 15%. We are facing a battle. We have to make sure that kids are properly equipped and rooted in the Battle Book (The Bible). Remember that Children's Ministry is the foundation for an Awesome Youth group. We are the chain link that Christ can work through to help other ministries be strong and long lasting. Our goal is that our Pastor's are not having to push them out of the pew to serve. We believe that the following steps can help us start to accomplish "Building Little People With Eternal Purpose."

The Children's Ministry Department is here to...

  1. Build a strong foundation through a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus.
  2. Kids are in a war. We are here to make them ready through strong balanced and applicable TEACHING.
  3. Establish helps ministry for the kids in and out of the church
    • Discover Gifts: This helps in moving into Jr. High ages to stay active in what they believe.
    • Foundation of Faith Class: Good for Jr. Higher's making that step in knowing what they believe and a reminder of the facts.
    • BGMC: Helping kids understand and grow in Mission Giving
